The demands of Arsenal defender Cedric Soares could scupper a loan move to Fulham in January.
The Cottagers are hoping to secure the veteran right-back in the winter, as he is not a regular at Arsenal this season.
However,The Sun states that the ex-Southampton star is hoping to be fully paid his £75,000 a week wage.
Arsenal do not want to pay part of his salary if he is at another Premier League club, while Fulham cannot match those wages.
Soares, formerly of Sporting CP, will have to take a pay cut if he is to get his wish for regular first team football for the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta may even refuse to let him leave, given the club's injury crisis at present.
