Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has defended Newcastle owner Mike Ashley.
Mitrovic spent three seasons at Newcastle between 2015 and 2018 before joining the Cottagers last summer.
"Not like with Tony (Khan, Fulham owner) but Ashley is a good guy," Mitrovic told TalkSPORT.
"I understand why some people in Newcastle don't like him but I had a really good relationship with him.
"He was good to me and although I didn't see him a lot he is a good guy.
"I think he will invest money now. He buys now a player for £40million from Hoffenheim but I think he is a little bit more careful than the other owners.
"I think he has made some good signings and some good deals for Newcastle and I don't know what will happen but I think if he wants to sell and the fans want him to go...
"Maybe he is happy at the moment, I don't know what to say about this, but he was a good owner while I was there."
