Fulham to retain Magath

Relegated Fulham will keep Felix Magath on as their manager next season.

The German was unable to prevent the southwest London club from avoiding the drop after he took over from Rene Meulensteen in February but will get his chance to rebuild the squad over the summer.

A Fulham spokesman told Sky Sports that the former Bayern Munich, Schalke and Wolfsburg boss, who initially signed an 18-month contract, would be retained at the Craven Cottage helm.

"Felix will manage the club next season. There has never been any ambiguity over his future from our perspective. He wants to bring us back to the Premier League," said the spokesman.

Fulham concludes their disappointing Premier League season with a home game against London rivals Crystal Palace on Sunday.
