Fulham have rejected the idea of knocking down ticket prices for the FA Cup tie with Sheffield Wednesday. Chief executive Kaven Walker told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I am disappointed that we couldn't charge £10 and £5.
"We've got great fans and they love to come and support us in the FA Cup."
Walker said Wednesday had planned to follow their usual pricing policy for early-round cup ties.
But he added: "You have to have an agreement with the club that you are playing against and we've been unable to reach an agreement so we have to follow FA guidelines.
"It's a big blow to all the Sheffield Wednesday fans and that is the part that saddens me because we are trying to do everything we can to bring the fans back in.
"We saw an uplift in attendance at the weekend, and that in the credit climate that everyone is having to deal with.
"The FA Cup is all about atmosphere historically. It's great competition and we would like to get the biggest crowd possible."
