Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinho may be forced to wait if he wants to revive a move to Bayern Munich.
Palhinha saw his switch to Munich collapse on deadline day, despite passing a Bayern medical. The Portugal midfielder then penned a new deal with the Cottagers, though also made clear he was still keen on moving to Germany.
For Bayern the feeling is mutual, but any deal is unlikely to happen before June.
Sky Deutschland's Florian Plettenberg reports the German giants are not expected to spend big in the January window.
However, no concrete decision has yet been taken by Bayern's board.
Palhinha has also been linked with clubs such as Barcelona, Manchester United and Liverpool since the summer market shut.
