Fulham fullback John Pantsil is upset over missing out on Ghana's African Nations Cup campaign.
The Ghana player of the year twisted his knee in Fulham's 2-1 defeat to Chelsea on Monday.
Pantsil, 28, was due to link up with the Black Stars on Tuesday but club boss Roy Hodgson fears the defender could miss the rest of the season.
They are now awaiting the results of a second scan on the right knee.
Pantsil said: "I am so sorry that I cannot make Angola 2010.
"But I promise that this team will bring back the cup without me."
