Fulham face competition from Sunderland for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Stijn Schaars.

Record says Fulham boss Martin Jol is lining up a bid for his fellow Dutchman this summer.

However, should Sporting indicate a willingness to sell, Jol can expect competition from Sunderland, Napoli and Inter Milan.

Schaars' deal runs to 2014 and carries a buyout clause of €20 million.
