Fulham captain Danny Murphy has opened new contract talks.

The People says Murphy's current contract ends this summer and the midfielder has been frustrated as the club took time to open talks.

Chief executive Alistair Mackintosh has finally approached the 33-year-old Fulham captain about an extension.

But he will also push on with his coaching badges in view of taking up a backroom job once his playing days are over.
