Fulham defender Brede Hangeland says England can enjoy success under coach Roy Hodgson.

The 30-year-old reached the Europa League final with Hodgson and has backed the new Three Lions boss to make his mark.

"At Fulham, West Brom and various other jobs he's done, he's proven that his teams are really hard to play against and really well organised," the centre-back said.

"If he can do the same with the England team, with all their strong players, they should be strong at the European Championships.

"His most important task will be to get everyone to pull in the same direction. If he can do that, they can be a really strong team. He is a good choice from the FA.

"His philosophy and style of play could suit the national team."
