Fulham chief Mackintosh offers Jol £25M transfer kitty

Ajax coach Martin Jol has been told he will have a bumper transfer kitty should he agree a move to Fulham.

The London Evening Standard says Jol has told Ajax that he wants to become the new manager at Craven Cottage.

Despite yesterday's confusing reports, Fulham remain confident of prising Jol away from Ajax.

On the weekend, Cottagers chief Alistair Mackintosh was so convinced he had his man that he told him there was £25million to spend and Jol then even identified Tottenham striker Robbie Keane as his first potential signing.

Ajax play Chelsea in a friendly in Amsterdam on Friday and Fulham's first game of their 10-day Swedish tour is against Halmstad on Thursday, by which time the club hoped to have their new manager in place.
