Fulham have appointed Ray Wilkins as its new assistant coach.
The 57-year old managed the Cottagers in 1997/98 and now returns to Craven Cottage to assist current boss Rene Meulensteen.
The appointment of Wilkins, who has previously managed QPR and has acted as caretaker at Chelsea on two occasions, comes after struggling Fulham brought in Alan Curbishley as technical director.
"I am delighted that the chairman and the CEO have, again, backed my desire for further experience and support within the backroom staff," said Meulensteen, who replaced Martin Jol earlier this month.
"Retaining our status of being a Barclays Premier League club next season is vitally important to our long-term plans, and I know that Ray's own experience and his knowledge of the game will be a vital component in our success."
Fulham currently sit 18th on the Premier League table with just 16 points from 19 outings following Saturday's 6-0 demolition at the hands of Hull City.
