Fulham boss Martin Jol was pleased with their point at Sunderland.
Jol was disappointed his side could not hang on to the lead, but satisfied to emerge with another point for their survival fund after drawing 2-2.
He said: "Before today, if they had beaten us, they would have been on 32 points as well.
"If you look at Southampton, they are in the bottom four or five - if they had beaten QPR today, they would have been on 30 points, so everyone can be dragged into a very difficult situation.
"One hand, it's a good point and on the other hand, three points would have meant we had done the business today, but we didn't."
