Fulham boss Mark Hughes has praised Manchester United defender Chris Smalling.
Smalling impressed against his former club in victory on Saturday.
"We all knew how good Chris was, and he's done very well since moving to United last summer," Hughes told fulhamfc.com. "He came to Fulham relatively inexperienced, having come in from playing non-league football, and three years later he's potentially on the verge of winning the title.
"A lot of credit should be given, because from day one he's worked extremely hard. It's good to see him doing well, although on Saturday that came at our expense. He's come a long way and he's only going to get better and better."
