Fulham boss Roy Hodgson insists Mark Hughes deserves time at Manchester City.

After yesterday's 3-1 win at Eastlands, Hodgson said: "This is a club where there has been an awful lot of changes in a very short period of time.

"Mark Hughes will need time to reshape the club the way he wants.

"He is building a new team. But he is a very successful manager and I am sure that he will soon have Manchester City challenging for honours."
