Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is happy to steer clear of Jimmy Bullard's contract talks.
He explained to the Mail on Sunday: "I prefer not dealing with contracts,' he says. 'At Fulham, that is the job of the chief executive. Jimmy will expect me to support him in his demands, but unfortunately I don't know I can help him that much.
"I'm not prepared to go out on a limb and tell the club they must do something. 'Jimmy is one player and we have others in a similar position. If a contract is sorted out by Jimmy, his agent and the club, it'll be great for me.
"I'm old-fashioned. I think contracts are for a certain time and you renegotiate towards the end, in the final year."
