Fulham boss Hodgson admits Europa League not important

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson admits progress to the next round of the Europa League isn't in his plans.

Cottagers players are anxious about continuing their European run with victory at FC Basle.

But Hodgson, who went to the World Cup as Switzerland boss in 1994, admits he will return there with a weakened side when Fulham face Basle in the Europa League on Wednesday.

"We won't even be playing what we consider to be our best team. It isn't of vital importance," said Hodgson.
