Hull City striker Matty Fryatt did his FA Cup chances no harm with a stunning goal against Manchester United on Tuesday night.
The 28-year old former Leicester City star netted a delightful 25-yard curling goal in the Tigers' 3-1 Premier League loss to the Red Devils at Old Trafford which has certainly enhanced his odds of making it into Steve Bruce's starting eleven for next weekend's cup final against Arsenal.
Fryatt has made just nine substitute appearances in the league this season but his four FA Cup goals in five outings has him in Bruce's calculations for the Wembley fixture on May 17.
"Matty Fryatt showed us again what a good player he is," Bruce told Sky Sports after the loss.
"He has got a good goal today, made a difference when he came on, made a difference in the semi-final, so he has made a major statement for playing in the FA Cup final, that's for sure."
