Frosinone coach Eusebio di Francesco has confirmed Matias Soule has turned down Italy.

The on-loan Juventus winger has starred with Frosinone this season, but remains committed to playing for Argentina.

Soule is expected to be named in Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni's latest squad selection today.

Asked about the news, Di Francesco said: "I think so... For what he showed and what he said to (Luciano) Spalletti.

"He deserves the national team, whatever it is. He chose with his heart and it's right to go where he wants."
