Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Brad Friedel is targeting more European football after signing a new deal last week.
"It's been an enjoyable time in my life and in my career. I like working with the staff we have here and we've got a good group of players assembled.
"Hopefully the club will give Mark some money to spend in the summer and we can keep pushing onwards.
"I think we're in with an excellent chance (of qualifying for Europe). We've just got to keep our heads down and try to keep our unbeaten run going."
Rovers chairman John Williams told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "Who knows what the future holds? That's something we may talk about 12 months down the road but we don't want to tempt fate at this stage.
"It's testament to Brad's fitness and form that Peter Enckelman, before he went off to Cardiff on loan, started just three games in four years.
"Brad's consistency and professionalism has been phenomenal and long may it continue."
