Tottenham Hotspur grabbed their first points of the new Premier League season on the weekend and it has proved the catalyst for positive comments from goalkeeper Brad Friedel.
Spurs produced their most positive performance of the campaign with a 2-0 win away at Wolves on Saturday and the American gloveman is confident it will kick the North London club into gear.
"Can we qualify for the Champions League? Absolutely," he said.
"The squad we have is exceptional. There was so much speculation in the transfer window that we needed to get that to one side and hopefully now we can just focus and win football matches."
Tottenham are next in action in their opening Europa League group stage match against Greek Super League outfit PAOK in Thessaloniki on Thursday followed by Sunday's big league meeting with Liverpool at White Hart Lane.
