Brad Friedel admits Tottenham's squad convinced him about moving from Aston Villa.

Friedel believes a run of four straight Premier League wins shows they can cover for injuries.

"We have strength in depth in every position," said the American. "As many as three players deep in some areas.

"We had Sandro, who is another one of those rocks in the ­centre, missing for the first games of the ­season. Ledley King also missed quite a bit of last season and previous years, and he's been involved in the last four games.

"We have a full squad of talented players and that is one of the ­reasons why I wanted to sign when I got the chance."
