Sebastien Frey insists he wants to stay with Fiorentina.
The French goalkeeper is recovering from knee surgery and was expected to leave Florence in the summer.
"I'm feeling good and I'm ready to play," he told La Nazione on Friday. "We'll see what the Coach decides."
Turning to the future, Frey seemed to rubbish speculation that he could leave following last summer's capture of Artur Boruc.
"I want to help the birth of a new Fiorentina cycle," continued the former Inter custodian. "I will never ask to leave this club.
"Boruc? I was surprised by his arrival and he's done well, but I just want to concentrate on starting at 100 per cent for next season."
