France coach Didier Deschamps feared the worst for Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele after he was injured against Real Sociedad.

Raul Navas slid in and hacked him down but Dembele was not injured seriously and should be fine to play for France at the World Cup.

"I will not hide that I was worried for Dembele but I could speak quickly with him and realised that it was not a serious injury," said Deschamps.

"It is only a bruise, the twist is not bad and he is being treated by the medical staff. He is not ruled out and maybe will be available for Monday's game against Ireland."
