France coach Didier Deschamps insists he won't take Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba to the World Cup unless he's fully fit.
Pogba faces a race against time to recover from knee surgery before Deschamps names his squad for Qatar 2022.
"It is impossible today to say anything. Yes, there is a delay with a more or less long range. I know Paul very well with whom I exchange regularly. Today, no one, even him, can say whether he will be there. I don't know if he can be cured," said Deschamps.
“And since I've been here, I've never taken a player to a final tournament if he wasn't fully recovered. Paul is not an exception, he is not there to amuse the gallery. If he is recovered, that would be a very good thing."
