France manager Didier Deschamps has dropped a huge hint that he will be selecting Dimitri Payet for the upcoming European Championships.
Despite starring for Marseille in France over the past few years and in England with West Ham United this season, Payet has been consistently overlooked by Les Bleus.
The 28-year-old was selected for France's recent friendly programme against the Netherlands and Russia though, and after a fine performance in then 3-2 win over the Dutch in Amsterdam on Friday, Deschamps has admitted that he will consider selecting the West Ham superstar for Euro2016 if he continues to shine.
Deschamps told Telefoot: "If I take Payet, it is because I am sure he can bring something.
"He has a unique ability and knows how to bring others into the game.
"If he maintains the level he showed, the question of whether or not we take him to the Euros will no longer be asked."
