Didier Deschamps believes Yohan Cabaye would be better suited at a club other than Paris Saint-Germain.
The 29-year old midfielder managed just 13 Ligue 1 starts under Laurent Blanc last season prompting France manager Deschamps to suggest he needs to find a better solution with his club football.
"Yohan is in a complicated position with his club. He knows it. We talked about it last autumn," said Deschamps.
"In order to reach his best level, to be full of confidence, with pace and regularity, he needs to get that at his club. But he didn't have the opportunity to do so with his club.
"Players like him are under contract. They are free to choose. But Yohan is lucid and he knows the situation. Would he find a better solution? I hope that for him."
Cabaye, who left Newcastle United for PSG in January 2014, is a reported target for the likes of Arsenal and Crystal Palace.
