Robbie Fowler accepts he will have a difficult time breaking into the Blackburn Rovers first team.

The former Liverpool striker told Rovers' website: "Roque's been brilliant.

"You look at his record last year in what was his first campaign and he scored over 20 goals, which is great.

"The likes of Jason Roberts, who has had a fantastic start to the season, Benni McCarthy's record has been class as well and obviously there is Matt Derbyshire as well, who can play in a number of positions.

"So it isn't going to be easy for me. I think it is going to be a bit difficult to get into the squad, so we'll just see how it goes."
