Foster makes West Brom return as senior action looms

Ben Foster is on the verge of a comeback for West Bromwich Albion after getting through 45 minutes of an U21s match on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old goalkeeper has been sidelined with a cruciate ligament injury sustained in March but managed a half of the 4-3 win over Kidderminster and is now eyeing a return to the Baggies senior team.

Foster, who indicated he was back in business with a nice save from a well-struck free-kick, could now take his place in Tony Pulis' line-up for Saturday's FA third round fixture against Bristol City.

Pulls said of Foster: "It's good to have Ben back. He played 45 minutes and then trained with us.

"I will speak with the medical staff but I would like to think he might be involved in Saturday's FA Cup game."
