Foster hits out at Watford teammates: No goals. No fight

Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster has hit out at teammates over a lack of "fight" after a dismal Premier League restart.

Foster reckons a lack of goals and an even more alarming lack of fight mean Watford need to go back to the drawing board.

He said: “We need to look at the videos of our first few games and see what we were doing to get ourselves back into contention.

“It seemed to me there was a lot more energy around the place all those months ago, a lot more drive, a lot more willingness to run and fight and stick your foot in.

"It seems to have disappeared a bit. We can't use the three months off as an excuse because everyone's in the same boat.

“We have to look at ourselves and ourselves only now."

Foster, whose side now have one win in ten, said: “We're not putting the ball in the net. It's as simple as that at the minute.

“We didn't have a shot on target against Southampton. We haven't made the keeper work. It's becoming a bit of a problem."
