Fortuna Dusseldorf chief Lutz Pfannenstiel isn't giving up on keeping Dodi Lukebakio.

The Watford midfielder has been outstanding during his loan with Fortuna this season.

Pfannenstiel has made it no secret he'd like him to stay, though has warned they could be priced out of a deal given Lukebakio's superb form.

But he now has hopes of extending the loan into a second season.

"We could come into play only through a renewed loan arrangement," Pfannenstiel told Kicker. "If he stays, that would be a sensation.

"We'll suggest several different models (of the transfer)."
