Forster not worried about England chances after Celtic's CL exit

Fraser Forster is not stressing about his World Cup chances now that Celtic are out of the Champions League.

The 25-year old goalkeeper made his England debut against Chile recently on the back of some impressive performances in Europe's premier club competition but the Hoops bowed out of the UEFA tournament when beaten 3-0 by AC Milan on Tuesday night.

Forster, however, does not believed his absence from the Champions League should have any bearing on his chances of making Roy Hodgson's Three Lions squad for Brazil 2014.

"It's disappointing to be out of the Champions League but it's just a case of doing well for Celtic now and then I will have to see what happens," he told the Daily Record.

"The World Cup is still a long way away and there's plenty of club football to be played between now and then.

"I don't know how damaging it is to be out of the European environment, I'll have to wait and see.

"Celtic are a fantastic club to play for and I'll take it a game at a time and not worry about the World Cup. It's still seven months away."
