West Ham United have offered a £5,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of burglars who stole medals belonging to Ken Brown last week, reports BBC Sport. The 81 year old former Hammers defender and Norwich boss had several medals stolen from his home in Blofield, Norfolk.

West Ham joint chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold said they were "devastated" by the news.

"We would urge anyone with any information to contact the police," they said.

The stolen medals included his 1964 FA Cup medal and 1965 European Cup Winners' Cup medal from his West Ham days, and his 1985 League Cup medal when he managed Norwich.

In a joint statement, Mr Sullivan and Mr Gold said: "The theft of his winners' medals is all the more poignant as we are marking 50 years since Ken and his team-mates lifted the European Cup Winners' Cup on the greatest night in our club's history."
