Former QPR starlet Arthur given Northampton chance

Northampton have secured the signing of Chris Arthur on a short-term deal. The 21-year-old started his career at QPR but has dropped down the leagues and was recently appearing for Conference South club Havant & Waterlooville.

Now, boss Gary Johnson has given Arthur three months to impress at Sixfields.

"He was a top prospect at QPR, but he lost his way a little," Johnson told Northampton's official website.

"I believe we can get his career back on track. He is a strong lad, he is quick, and I am pleased to add him to the squad."
