MLS club Sporting Kansas City have confirmed the signing of Portuguese defender Nuno Andre Coelho.
The 30-year-old has joined SKC ahead of the 2016 season and will take up a spot on the club's international roster spot. Per league and club policy, further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
During his career, Coelho has spent time at such clubs as Porto, Sporting Lisbon, Braga and most recently in Turkey with Balikesirspor where he last played in the 2014/15 season.
Of the new addition, SKC boss Peter Vermes said: “Our intention during the offseason has been to add players to each of our lines.
“Nuno comes to us with a tremendous amount of experience and adds another dimension to how we want to play as a team."
Coelho, 30, has played more than 160 matches during a 12-year career in Europe, including 7 in @ChampionsLeague with SC Braga and FC Porto.
