Nemanja Vidic's future is again the talk of the town following his departure from Inter Milan.
The Serbian defender and the Italian mutually terminated his contract on Monday, reigniting links with MLS club DC United.
Former Manchester United star Vidic has previously been mentioned in the same circles as the capital club although DC general manager Dave Kasper played down the rumours last week.
However, speculation remains now that the 34-year-old is a free agent making him a much more attractive prospect to the Black-and-Red who are co-owned by Inter president and owner Erick Thohir.
Whether or not Vidic ends up at the RFK Stadium is unclear but expect the 56-time Serbia international's name to be continually linked with clubs in the USA and Canada's top flight.
