Nigel De Jong has completed his much-talked about transfer to LA Galaxy.
The Dutch defensive midfielder arrives in MLS having spent the past three-and-a-half years in Italy with AC Milan following a two-and-a-half-year stint with Manchester City.
31-year-old De Jong also previously played in Germany with Hamburg and in his native Holland with Ajax where he started his professional career back in 2002.
The Galaxy have used Targeted Allocation Money to acquire the 80-time Holland international who helped the Orange to second place at the 2010 FIFA World Cup and a third-place finish in 2014.
Of the signing, Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena said: “Nigel is an experienced midfielder who will help the players around him get better.
“He will add qualities on the field that can strengthen our team in all areas. We look forward to Nigel coming to Los Angeles and joining our club."
