Forest owner Marinakis lays out plans in open letter to supporters

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has outlined his determination to bring the club back to the very top of the game.

Forest have been in the Premier League for over a year now, surviving against the odds last term.

But after selling homegrown star Brennan Johnson to Tottenham for £47.5 million, Marinakis has outlined that he has not given up on taking Forest to the very top.

In an open letter to supporters, Marinakis wrote: “Our vision is clear and unwavering: we are on a path to re-establish Nottingham Forest as a dominant force in English football.

“We are investing in youth development, nurturing young talent, and building a squad that can compete at the highest level for years to come.

“The plan was very clear and well calculated. It was the culmination of months of analysis and research, collaborative meetings with our staff, and the relentless pursuit of some of the best talent in world football.

“When players of the quality of those we have brought in this summer choose Nottingham Forest over the other dominant European clubs chasing their signatures, they choose us because they have fully invested in what we want to achieve."
