Forest boss Cooper seeks to register Cook after injury crisis

Nottingham Forest are pleading with the Premier League to reinstate one of their defenders in their squad.

The Premier League club have signed a shocking 29 players since promotion in the summer.

However, The Telegraph states that injuries to defenders Willy Boly and Scott McKenna means Forest are in trouble.

Boss Steve Cooper wants to now bring axed defender Steve Cook back into his squad.

At present, his only fit central defenders are skipper Joe Worrall and new signing Felipe.

Whether the Premier League will agree is another matter, as there is little precedent for such a situation.
