Sunderland boss Roy Keane is set to miss out on released Celtic midfielder Neil Lennon.

The Daily Mail says Lennon will this week join Colin Calderwood's coaching staff at Nottingham Forest.

The former Celtic midfielder, who last week turned down an approach from Wycombe Wanderers, will sign a deal to be a player-coach at the League One side.

Lennon, 35, has told Calderwood he wants to take on the challenge of leading Forest back into the Championship, with the announcement made official later this week.
