Football League keep registration embargo on Portsmouth

Portsmouth's registration embargo will remain until at least July 15, reports The News. That is the date from which Pompey are bidding to convince the Football League to allow them to begin signing players once again.

The club had originally hoped the embargo would be lifted as early as July 1. Now seven days into the 28-day cooling period, so far none of the six parties which voted against last Thursday's proposals have lodged an appeal.

In addition, Pompey must also satisfy the Football League they have a new owner in place.
