Valencia coach Quique Sanchez Flores admits they have plenty to improve after last night's 2-1 defeat at home by Espanyol.

"The perspective is that there are many things that need to improve. We have not seen the best of this team so far this season," said Flores. "At this moment we've failed again.

"I feel the same as the fans. When the fans are happy, I am happy. And when they protest, I feel the anger and I protest also.

"When we lose or play poorly the buck stops with me. I am the man in charge. I'm responsible."
