Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick has encouraged Thiago Alcantara to move to England.

After seven years with the club, the Spaniard has made it clear he would like to leave this summer, with Liverpool heavily linked to the midfielder.

Flick maintains the Premier League would be Thiago's ideal destination.

“Thiago played for Barcelona and seven years for Bayern Munich," Flick told Bild. "He wants a new challenge which, in my opinion, should be the Premier League.

“He is a very important player for us, who gives the team that certain something, and we have to replace him with the same quality."
