Harry Winks is delighted to be back in action for Tottenham in preseason.

The 21-year-old missed the end of last season's campaign after sustaining the injury in a 2-0 victory at Burnley in April.

But, after three months of recovery, the midfielder made his return to the Tottenham team as a second half substitute in their 4-2 win over Paris Saint-Germain.

"I can't put it into words," Winks told the club's official website. “It's been a long time coming and it's been amazing to return, it really has.

"It was exciting to get back out there against good opposition. I was a little nervous about how my ankle would hold up. That's always in the back of your mind when you come back from injury but I've worked hard with the help of the medical team and when you go out there, the focus is on winning the match and that's all I was thinking about."
