Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu has launched a formal appeal against the ruling ordering him to pay Chelsea £14 million in compensation.
Chelsea sacked the Romania international striker after he failed a drugs test in 2004 and the Blues pursued him through the courts.
Corriere dello Sport says the terms of the appeal will be made public tomorrow.
In the meantime, Mutu's manager will continue in his efforts to reach an agreement with Chelsea.
