Fiorentina striker Alberto Gilardino credits his form this season to the influence of former AC Milan teammate Pippo Inzaghi.

Gila has been outstanding for the Viola this term.

"I have certainly taken something from Pippo on the pitch, but I don't have the same hair dresser" Gilardino joked while at an event organised by Florence's Rotary Club.

Gila then revealed why he believes he has become such a prolific centre-forward.

"Paolo Rossi scored five goals on my birthday, July 5. I always remember it with pleasure."
