Fiorentina and Sampdoria are willing to splash out for Aston Villa striker John Carew.
The Norway international is up for sale at Villa Park ahead of the January market after falling out with manager Gerard Houllier.
Despite having less than a year to run on his current deal, both Fiorentina and Samp are willing to go as high as £6 million to sign Carew in January.
Carew has previous experience, having had a season with AS Roma.
