Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso says Italian clubs "need help" to bridge the gap on the Premier League.
Commisso was speaking during a visit by Italy's Sports Minister Andrea Abodi to the Viola Centre.
“Serie A is worth one-third of the Premier League, we used to be at the top, but now revenues are below those of English, Spanish and German clubs," he said.
“We need help, not only Fiorentina. The sporting centre will help us raise young players and another thing we have to discuss is how clubs pay fewer taxes when signing a player abroad rather than in Italy."
Fiorentina's Viola Park, located south of Florence, is expected to be ready before March and April.
