Fiorentina have made contact with PSV Eindhoven for attacking midfielder Ibrahim Afellay.
Afellay has rejected a new contract offer from PSV and is determined to leave the Dutch giants this summer.
Highly admired by Fiorentina sports director Pantaleo Corvinho, Afellay could arrive as a replacement for Adrian Mutu.
