Fiorentina director Daniele Prade admits they tried to sign Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali last summer.

Pradè was asked if they would revive their approach for the 19-year-old in January.

“No, we won't try again in January," he said.

"We'll be concentrating on sales rather than purchases. Besides that, why would Brescia want to sell Tonali mid-season?"

They meet on Monday and Prade added: “Brescia are a very tough opponent, because they have an excellent Coach like Eugenio Corini, a star striker like Mario Balotelli and strong midfielder in Tonali.

“It will be really difficult for us to win at the Stadio Rigamonti."
