Fiorentina coach Italiano stunned by late Inter Milan winner

Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano was left speechless after their 4-3 defeat to Inter Milan.

The Viola had come back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2, then Luka Jovic's volley for 3-3 at the 89th minute.

But Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored with the aid of a misplaced Lorenzo Venuti clearance for Inter's winner.

“I don't even know what to say. It is yet another doubt over the refereeing decisions, as there was a foul moments before the winning goal," Italiano told Sky Italia.

“Nikola was in the right position, Dzeko even pulled his shirt. It is not the first dubious decision to go against us and that's worrying when looking at our position in the table.

“It would've felt like a victory to come back twice and draw 3-3 against Inter, after the first 15 minutes when we conceded at every shot on target. It would've been a reward for the lads, but unfortunately we are left here with regrets and lose a game we did not deserve to lose.

“It's true that this is not the first time it has happened, we tend to give the ball away and don't sense the danger. Nonetheless, it's a pity because Inter scored with the first two chances and we needed to be more concentrated.

“It's frustrating to not just concede goals when the opposition creates those opportunities, but even giving them away is too much."
